Driven by the Covid-19 pandemic, the dematerialization of production processes has become an imperative for public and private organizations around the world, forced to redefine their methods, their means, and their very relationship to work. Digital transformation, in other words the process of strategically integrating digital technologies at different levels and functions of the organization, now appears as one of the sacred canons of performance definition and a criterion of evolution for contemporary societies.

Confronted with significant challenges, notably structural (weakness of the economy, limited power in the global governance of information), infrastructural (failure, non-existence of infrastructures), technical (quality of the connection, competence of local resources) or political (will), just to name a few, African countries are no less concerned by the digital revolution. If for at least a decade, mobile telephony has been the most illustrative sector of this dynamic, innovations are multiplying on the continent in other areas such as finance, medicine, agriculture, and education.
